The West Demerara Under-15 cricket team is expecting success in this year’s Nalico/Nafico competition based on the level of preparation and exposure the players had as a result of a recent inter-club competition played in the region.
Selectors were able to put together a solid combination since they would have seen most of the players in action in the New Line Aqua Farm Under-15 competition in which Wales and Cornelia Ida would vie for top honours on February 27 at the Canal # 2 Sports Club ground.
The final eleven to compete against Georgetown today at the Canal # 2 Sports Club ground in the Nalico/Nafico, Demerara Cricket Baord sponsored Under-15 tournament would come from the following 20-man squad:
Chandrika Persaud, Khemraj Rupee, Brian Puran, Akshaya Persaud, Kawson Joseph, Kevin Paul, Michael Matura, David Blair, Robindra Rooplall, Beepaul Bandoo, Rafeek Nazeer, Krishna Kumar, Narsingh Basdeo, Suraj Boodramlall, Cornalius Dhaneshrie, Daniel Basdeo, Reaz Khan, Narendra Singh, Khemdat Singh, Ramesh Persaud.

West Demerara Cricket Association President Anand Sanasie, and Competitions Committee Chairman Lalta Digamber met with the team recently and are confident they will give a good account of themselves.
