Play in the 2010 Toucan Industries Inc. Mash Junior Squash Tournament served off last evening at the Georgetown Club courts.
Thirty two of Guyana’s top juniors are in action as they try to impress the national selectors ahead of the naming of the national training squad.
The tournament is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, with the action starting every evening from 6:00 pm and from 9:00 and 10:00am on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The national training squad will be named by the end of the weekend, as the Guyana Squash Association steps up its preparation for the Junior Caribbean Championships in Grand Cayman from July 9 to 18.
Guyana has created history by sweeping all three team titles for the past two years and will hope to repeat the feat this year.
