The two vacant seats in the National Assembly were yesterday occupied as the Clerk of the National Assembly, Sherlock Isaacs, swore in two new Members of Parliament.
One of the members that took the oath of office was Lloyd Joyston Pereira, who will be filling the seat previously held by the late Minister within the Ministry of Education, Dr Desrey Fox.
He will however not be replacing her as Minister.
Meanwhile, as was announced by the People’s National Congress Reform, Dawn Hastings was sworn in as the newest party Member of Parliament.
She was sworn in as a result of the resignation of Shadow Minister of Agriculture, Anthony Vieira.
She also will not be replacing Vieira as Shadow Agriculture Minister.
