Pele Football Club, Sunburst Camptown and Fruta Conquerors have all advanced to the semi-finals of the 2009 DeSinco Trading sponsored Under-19 football competition in the city following quarter-final action over the weekend.
Conquerors had the easiest of passage into the final four after gaining a walk over from Northern Rangers who failed to show up for their clash at the Tucville ground.
But the other teams who advanced did so in commanding fashion, hosts Camptown hammering Uprising 5-0 while on Saturday at the GFC ground, Pele took care of Riddim Squad 4-0.
For Camptown Akeem Moore netted a double, hitting the network in the 4th and 13th minutes, with a goal each from King Archer (34), Moses Adams (58) and Richie Richards in the 60th.
Pele fired their way to victory compliments of a double from Sheldon Holder (52, 65).
Andre Sookhoo had opened the scoring in the 17th minute followed by a Kerwin Benjamin strike in the 36th minute.
The other quarter-final between Alpha United and Santos which was scheduled for Saturday was not played and will be contested sometime during this week.
