An out-of-control vehicle, belonging to the MMC Security Services severed two electricity poles on Water Street Kingston at 00:30 hours yesterday.
While the accident resulted in a section of Kingston being plunged into blackout, it is not too clear if anyone was seriously injured.
According to an eyewitness, the vehicle would normally patrol the area.
He said that the driver of the vehicle, which was traveling at a fast rate, lost control and there was a loud crash.
The eyewitness further told this newspaper that when he checked, he saw that the vehicle had crashed into the electricity poles opposite the Lighthouse, causing them to break like twigs.
From all appearances, the occupants of the vehicle fled in a hurry, leaving several expensive equipment inside.
When this newspaper contacted MMC Security Services no one was willing to comment.
