Iraq is now a land of death and misery

Dear Editor,

With reference to your report on January 17, about Iran missile test and Gordon Brown saying the said missile test will boost the case of tougher sanctions against Iran, mind you Iran is preparing to defend itself in the case of an attack by Israel, for which all the Western powers are arming Israel.

These Western powers shamelessly turned Iraq, the once most progressive country in the Muslim world, into a land of death and misery, and now they want to do the same to Iran and expect the Iranians to just allow it to happen without a fight.

These same Western powers arm Israel and allow it to slaughter Palestinians, while the leaders sit and enjoy the show. After Iraq and Palestine they now are turning their attention to Iran and Venezuela.

I am waiting to hear when George W. Bush and Tony Blair will get Noble Peace Prize for the work they did to Iraq.
