Floodlights A team have advanced to the final in the 2010 Florida Cup Masters 20-over softball cricket tournament after recording two victories on Saturday evening at the Fort Lauderdale Cricket Stadium, Florida.

However, the B team combination opted out owing to four defeats also at the same venue.

The Floodlights A beat South Florida by 19 runs and then crushed the B side by 150 runs. The championship game was set or yesterday at the Stadium.

Scores from the two games are as follows:

Floodlights A 178-6 off 20 overs: Dereck Ramotar 46*, Richard Persaud 39, Eshwar Persaud 20, captain Ricky Deonarain 20; Anthony Daniels 2-34. South Florida, in reply, reached 159-4 off 20 overs: Monniram Pooran 63, George Sukhoo 28; Rahaman Khan 3-29, Doodnauth Sookram 2-24.

In the second game, Floodlights A 258-6 off 20 overs: Ramchand Ragbeer 63, Patrick Khan 44, Richard Persaud 23, Dudnauth Sookram 21; Ramesh Amany 2-34. Floodlights B team, in reply, reached 168-5 off 20 overs: Jerry Gaznaby 53*, Anil Manickchand 23; Ganesh Singh 21; Ragbeer 2-20.
