Two men armed with guns descended on the popular Popeyes Chicken and Seafood outlet on Vlissengen Road around 23:15 hours on Saturday and robbed the entity of $1.2M in cash.
According to sources, the men entered from the back door which was reportedly not properly secured.
They grabbed the two female supervisors and demanded that they hand over the money.
According to an eyewitness, there were two security personnel who were unarmed and they did not challenge the robbers who were brandishing their guns.
