A road accident will put a damper on the plans of a family. It will result from the actions of a young unlicenced driver who would happen to get behind the wheel of a vehicle that was left in the care of his parents.
As is so common these days, there would be an offer of compensation but everyone knows that compensation cannot ease the pain that one feels when a young person is injured. But money does many things. The police are going to be swayed. They will conduct a poor investigation.

Fires are going to rage unabated because of the dry conditions. One particular fire is going to blanket a major highway. Traffic would be snarled because one idiot, ignoring the conditions, would turn against the flow of traffic.
The result would be chaotic.

A situation is developing in the schools and the Education Ministry is moving too slow to deal with it. Young gang members are going to wage a reign of terror on school grounds.
What is going to be disastrous would be the visits to other schools to intimidate teachers and pupils alike.
In the end the police would have to use force to curb the situation. However, amidst all this the Education ministry would remain aloof.
