As a result of quick police action, the days of Ram’s Pharmacy being broken into and losing millions of dollars may soon be at an end.
Yesterday, Lakeram Odit, the business owner said that his phone rang at about 3:00hrs. The person on the other end alerted him that his business was being broken into.
“I immediately called Impact and they moved really quick because when I came down they had four men and a woman on the ground with a few bags filled with items,” the man said.
The persons who broke and entered the building used a nipper and several hand saws to cut the locks and grilled door.
Odit who has been operating out of the business since 1995 said the robbers cleared several shelves, removing medication and other pharmaceuticals including a large quantity of Viagra as well a quantity of diabetic testing strips, all worth more than $2M. The thieves also removed sex toys, electronic equipment including a laptop and a cordless phone as well as $20,000 cash.
Those arrested are in the lock-ups while the police are investigating.
