Tractor crushes man’s skull
Sheldon Munroe, a woodcutter lost his life tragically Wednesday evening, after the left wheel of the unlicensed tractor on which he was traveling crushed his skull.
He and a cousin, Telroy, were riding on the tractor when he fell under the wheels.

Munroe died instantly on the Onderneeming public road about 10:00hrs, before receiving any medical attention.
According to Hermine Burrowes-Munroe, Wray’s mother, after she received the tragic news about her son’s death from residents in the Onderneeming district, she subsequently went to the scene to get a glimpse of her son’s body.
Mrs. Munroe said that she was assisted by persons in that area to transport the body to the Essequibo mortuary. According to the physically shaken woman, Munroe had received a call from his employer to venture into the Onderneeming backlands to cut wood.
He was to spend four days in the bush.
She said that her son was at first reluctant to go, but at her insistence he decided to go, accompanied by his cousin Telroy.
After Munroe fell from the tractor, his cousin, Telroy, shouted for the driver to stop but the driver kept proceeding on his journey. She noted that the driver fled the scene.
Munroe has left to mourn his sister, Wavney Blucher and his mother Hermanie.
And 53-year-old, Kenneth Paul, a fisherman of Devonshire Castle, was found dead in the cabin of a boat at Paradise Village, on the Essequibo Coast.
According to a police report Paul, who was discovered dead by his other colleagues on February 8 around 15:00 hrs, had complained of feeling unwell. He died later that evening of a suspected heart attack.
The death was later reported at the Anna Regina Police station. A post mortem report is expected to be performed on Paul’s remains tomorrow.
