Seeking to collaborate with GFF to enhance competition
As plans for the 3rd annual Ministry of Culture Youth & Sport, Community Inter-Block football tournament continues, the Ministry through main organizer Steve Ninvalle (Parliamentary Secretary) has written the Guyana Football Federation as they seek to collaborate with the governing body.
The main aims of the tournament are to (a) bring about camaraderie and foster good relationships among participating communities throughout Guyana, (b) nurture the sport at the grassroots level and (c) to increase the participation of persons outside of the club structure.
The two entities are expected to meet shortly to work out the modalities of running the tournament throughout Guyana.
The Inter-Block tournament has been a hit throughout Guyana ever since its inception with competitions held in Mahdia, Lethem, villages along the East Coast, East Bank West Demerara among others.
