Spectators lined the outskirts of the Joe Vieira Park yesterday afternoon to get a glimpse of what is expected to be a thrilling display of Grass Track racing and Biker Stunts at the venue today in the INXS Performance presentation.
The leading Dirt Bike riders in Guyana will be tossed into action in the ‘Hot Track, Grass Track’ on the West Bank of Demerara. The theme for the event is ‘This Is How We Ride’ and will showpiece “the very best in bike stunts and riding’.
Speaking to Kaieteur Sport on behalf of INXS Performance yesterday, Hilbert Franklin was adamant that the event will be one of the best in recent history. “Everything is good for tomorrow [today]. We have things locked,” he said.
According to Franklin, 200 vehicles will be allowed to park inside the venue today while patrons are asked to use the back entrance for security and road safety purposes.
He said that the Guyana Police Force will be managing security.
“We have built a new Q track with different turns just to see how the riders will manage them. We want the excitement so we will see what will happen,” the INXS representative told this newspaper yesterday afternoon.
Chief Executive Officer of INXS, Christopher Small concurred with Franklin, stating that he anticipates a massive crowd at the venue today. The best riders in Guyana have been confirmed for participation today at the Joe Vieira Park.
