The Guyana Rugby Football Union has called U-19 players to trials in preparation for Guyana’s participation at the NACRA U-19 15 a-side Tournament scheduled to start 21 August, 2010 at a venue to be announced at a later date.
The championship is expected to be contested by teams from the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana.
Training for the tournament will commence today at 16:00hrs at the National Park rugby ground.
Guyana narrowly missed qualifying last year (July 2009) for the Junior World Trophy Tournament, won by Host Cayman Island.
The winning team will qualify for the 2010 IRB Junior World Trophy tournament Finals.
