Four quarter-final games scheduled
Competition in the F&H Printing sponsored Muslim Youth Organization (MYO) of Guyana 10 overs Inter-Jamaat Softball round-robin round-hand cricket competition is set to continue tomorrow with four quarter-final matches and one preliminary game at the MYO ground, Woolford Avenue, Thomas Lands.
Success will face off with Sunfoods in the lone preliminary game which will have no bearing on the quarter-final match-ups. This game will be the 2nd game of the day from 10:30hrs. Opening play at 09:00hrs brings together home team MYO and Triumph.
Success will get into quarter-final mode from 12:00hrs when they come up against Farm C, Land of Canaan play Plaisance at 13:30hrs with the final game of the day featuring Farm A against Cornelia Ida.
In the latest result, Farm C defeated LBI by 52 runs at the same venue. Farm C batted first and rattled up 158-5 in their allotted 10 overs. Amir Azeez smashed 56 and was supported by Yunus Mohammed, who stroked 42.
Zaman Ali and Fizul Khan picked up one wicket apiece for LBI who were limited to 106-9 when the overs ran out.
Imran Khan made 39 and Rahman Ali made 17. For the winners, Mohammed and Avinash Singh snapped up two wickets each.
