Top Brandz, Metro, Guyana Lotto, Monroe Shocks, Steve’s Jewellery on board
The Guyana Floodlight Cricket Association will be sending two teams to the Florida Cup 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA and have managed to secure several sponsors for the trip to offset some of their expenses.
Lending assistance are Top Brandz of 40 Goedverwagting Road, ECD who are agents for Interstate Batteries, Metro Office & Computer Supplies of 127 A Quamina Street, Georgetown, The Guyana Lottery Company of 357 Lamaha Street, Georgetown, Monroe Shocks, Struts and Brakes of the USA with their local agent being Ramchand Auto Spares of Sheriff Street and Steve’s Jewellery of Charlotte Street, Georgetown.
All of the sponsors expressed pleasure in contributing, and feels that it is necessary for Guyana to have representations in this foremost softball tournament because we are a cricketing nation and it is here softball cricket originates.
They also expressed the belief that the Floodlight Teams have the winning formula to bring home the trophy.
President of GFCA Rahaman Khan expressed thanks to all the sponsors for this meaningful assistance and is positive that his teams will give their best and do well.
Anchor Seafoods and Nachi Fujikoshi Corp. are also sponsors of the Floodlight Teams. The teams depart early next week to take part in the tournament schedule for 12, 13 and 14 of February.
