– Jason Ray Khalil, Victoria Arjoon also among winners
The 2010 Bounty Farm sponsored Handicap squash tournament continued on Wednesday evening, at the Georgetown Club courts with several exhilarating matches.
Andrew Arjoon continued where he left off on the opening night with a hard fought win over national junior player Oliver Downes.
Playing consistent, solid squash Downes made it through his -20 handicap with relative ease in the first set by covering everything Arjoon was throwing at him.
After losing the first set 13/15 Arjoon looked down and out in the second when Downes reeled off 24 points, while Arjoon had managed one.
Sensing the end was near Downes stepped off the gas and in a flash Arjoon was at 13-4, Downes refocused and got to within three points of ending the match, but it was Arjoon who came away with the second stanza 15/12.
Full of confidence at the start of the third, Arjoon came out aggressively and never let the tiring Downes into the game, closing it out at 15/-14.
Jason Ray Khalil powered past his sister Ashley, while Victoria Arjoon held onto to her advantage to defeat
Regan Pollard.
