De government quiet. Is a long time since a group of people outside of Georgetown decide to challenge dem. And is bush people but as dem boys seh, people who live in de bush stupid.
Well Robert and Robeson and Lumumba get a shock. In de fuss place, Robert went without he siren that he borrow from Sam.
De three of dem go to sweet talk de bush people only to find out that dem same bush people was town people at one time and is by choice that dem decide to live in Bartica.
Robert prepare a speech ’bout how de money from Norway gun ease de pressure when gold price fall. Who tell he seh that? Dem miners remind he that all de time when gold was up and down dem didn’t have nobody to cushion dem and dem ain’t depending pun nobody to cushion dem.
Lumumba is a miner and he couldn’t talk too much. He glad fuh de protest because he was one who believe that any rule gun cut up he runnings. But since he go wid Robert he couldn’t side wid de miners although he mek sure that he ain’t seh nutten that gun spark a row.

But de other side of a story is about shutting down Bartica. Dem boys notice that not one rum shop shut down. In fact, dem run shop owner glad if de whole town shut down because is one thing don’t shut down and that is rum shop. When people didn’t have to go to wuk is rum shop; when dem don’t have food to eat is rum shop. And after de rally was rum shop.
But is only one day dem coulda hold out for. Dem boys seh that de miners in Bartica claim how dem gun hold out fuh three days. Well by midday, wid de drinks in dem, de protesters wasn’t good fuh another day.
But de government didn’t know that, suh dem remove de condition. But Bharrat got to mek de announcement. And he gone to Russia.
