Something mysterious is unfolding at the Bladen Hall Multilateral School. Several students have been affected to the point of having breathing problems. Others have reported feeling dazed.
These occurrences have been ongoing since last Friday when ten from Form One students began panting for air and going into trance like states.
Those were collected by their parents and most have not returned since. Yesterday, when this publication visited the institution, the head teacher acting, Marilyn Young, said nothing out of the ordinary had occurred.
She said all is well except for a few cases of asthma. Two students on the outside including one of those who had the mysterious attack reported the contrary. “I was one who get attack, I don’t have asthma and all of we eat we belly full so none of we ain’t hungry. Friday ten of we went in class and then we start getting attack one by one.”
Another student also refuted the Head Teacher’s asthma explanation. “This can’t be asthma cause the same thing happened to more students on Monday.”
Amidst the interview, the Head Teacher intervened and discontinued the interview. Other students also confirmed that something strange is unfolding at the school especially to the Form One students.
When questioned about the reports of unnatural occurrences in the institution, the Head teacher said “neither me nor the students are doctors so they can say what they want.” She then advised two journalists to vacate the school’s premises.
Several weeks ago a spate of mass hysteria occurred at various schools in and out of Georgetown, requiring pastors to be called in.
