Diamond dealer robbery…
As police continue their investigation into last Friday’s robbery is Bel Air Park, the taxi driver who was taken into police custody is still in custody.
This newspaper was told that the police are still trying to locate the car which was used in the robbery, as they were provided with the license number which was on the car at the time.
Investigators are still making efforts to have the footage they got from a security camera enhanced.
On Friday last, businessman Regan Pollard of 195-196 Kaieteur Road Bel Air Park was attacked just in front of his home and robbed of $5M.
This newspaper was told that the car which was used in the robbery was seen parked just up the street from Pollards’ home moments prior to the robbery.
Pollard and his driver were held at gunpoint by two of three men and were forced to hand over the money. The men quickly jumped back into their vehicle and escaped.
