The Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association last Friday night at the GCC ground, Bourda donated half of a million dollars to the Guyana Relief Fund for Haiti.
Members of the Floodlight teams all felt it necessary to make their donations and express their sadness for the grave disaster that happened to the people of Haiti.
In collecting the cheque, Minister Priya Manickchand expressed her thanks to the Floodlight team and also said that GFSCA is the first sporting organization making a donation and hope that others can follow.
