Police in linden have detained three men following a spate of robberies in the mining town of Linden on Saturday night.
A group of three men armed with firearms attacked and robbed three sets of persons in the Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, area between 21:50 and 22: 15 hours on Saturday.
During the incidents, Pastor Nigel Milo, 34 years, was shot and injured.
According to the police, investigations have revealed that at about 21: 50 hours, the three armed men entered the home of 40-year old, Sunita Ramanand, through an open doorway and held her and her three children at gunpoint.
They then ransacked the home and took away jewellery, two cell phones, a pair of binoculars and $105,000 after which they escaped.
Then at about 22:00 hours, the men confronted Reuben Stoby, 27 years, and his girlfriend who were standing on the roadway.
They held them at gunpoint and took away two cell phones and escaped.
It is suspected that 15 minutes later, the same three men held up Brian Scott, 47, Linden Beckles and Leon Waldyke who were carrying out repairs to a building and robbed them of their jewellery, four cell phones and $2,000.
While in the process of this robbery, the armed men saw Pastor Nigel Milo approaching in his motor vehicle and discharged rounds at him before escaping.
He was hit to his left hip and right hand and has been admitted a patient at the McKenzie Hospital.
