Digicel’s Marketing Director Jacqueline James makes the presentations to Ms Melanie Mc Turk and veteran comedian, Habeeb Khan
Telecommunications giant Digicel Inc, yesterday made presentations to the Eriripan Organization, and also to veteran comedian Habeeb Khan.
Digicel’s Marketing Director Jacqueline James presented the founder of the Eriripan Organization Ms Melanie Mc Turk with over 500 backpacks for needy children.
The organization has been in existence for the past five years as a Non Profit Organisation, which assists children living in the Rupununi areas.
The organisation strongly believes that education and a sense of personal worth are the necessary factors in the process, which transforms a child into a complete adult.
Mc Turk also said that she believes that literacy is a necessary tool for development and that personal participation in the development process is the key to a stronger and better future.
And veteran comedian Habeeb Khan was given $100,000, which is aimed at helping him to seek further medical attention. The veteran comedian is suffering from acute bronchitis.
