De government moving to ban latrines. Dem boys seh that people mekking latrines to insult de government. One Minister tell Cabinet that people talking about de latrine that collapse and kill a schoolgirl. He seh that since de Waterfalls paper publish a double decker latrine people drawing plans fuh dem and according to de plan, dem only plan to use de bottom.
De Minister tell Cabinet that to mek matters worse, everybody who mekking latrine marking de top one ‘government’ and de bottom one ‘taxpayer’.
All who don’t have water closet got to use bush or road corner or face jail if dem try to use any latrine. That is wha dem boys seh.
Another thing that puzzling dem boys is how all of a sudden de police force get rid of Deputy Commissioners. Ever since Wills resign de force ain’t have no Deputy Commissioner. De longest serving Assistant Commissioner is Paul Slowe and is more than five years since he deh in that position but he ain’t getting promotion.
Dem boys want fuh know if de Police Service Commission, which is suppose to be independent, deliberately punishing Slowe because he did challenge Gajraj over some gun story. Dem boys seh that if that is de case then de whole police force got to tek instructions from de Minister.
Dem know fuh sure that if de Minister talk this time nobody ain’t gun even hesitate to do wha he seh. Ramnarine didn’t hesitate fuh go and arrest Benschop although dem had no reason and de NFMU still to find a charge.
Ramnarine get two promotions in two years. He is now Assistant Commissioner.
And dem boys want to know how is only Bharrat and Sam getting invite to dem Old Year’s night function. Wha happen to dem other Ministers? Perhaps there is a limit to freeness and is only de really big ones qualify.
Talk half. Lef half.
