Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday remanded two men, Lancelot Handy of Alberttown and Gary Drakes, when they appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer to charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
With respect to Handy it is alleged that on December 27 he had in his possession 30g of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Drakes, on the same day at Campbell Avenue, Campbellville, allegedly had in his possession six grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. They both pleaded not guilty to their respective charges.
Magistrate Hamilton then remanded them.
Handy is expected to return to court on April 13, 2010 while Drakes is schedule to do so on April 15, 2010.
