The police were responding to an article published in yesterday’s edition of Kaieteur News under the caption “Relatives reportedly confess to killing Bagotstown fisherman”.
The article which dealt with the death stated that “Two relatives allegedly battered 53-year-old Inshan Ally to death and dumped his body outside his home on Boxing Day.

“The Guyana Police Force wishes to state that there has been no confession in this matter. Presently there is no information that suggests that foul play is involved in Inshan Ally’s death, and the police are awaiting the results of the post mortem examination which is likely to indicate the cause of death.”
The post mortem is scheduled for today.
