Dear Editor,
They may be keeping a low profile, but the phantom gangs are still going strong, running around the country unimpeded with all their weapons intact.
The old saying that money talks and bull ***t walks might just be the case.
Imagine the names of some of these members who are implicated in the execution of Ronald Waddell and others have been detailed in black and white and yet they are still allowed to have their freedom and guns.
Only a few weeks ago one of these members was stopped by a police patrol in Bel Air, in the trunk of his car there were a number of high calibre weapons which was visible to some residents in the area, but one quick phone call and he was allowed to go, no questions asked.
These police patrols that we see quite often around town and its outskirts, know these guys well, but it seems that they have specific instructions not to touch them or they may be on their payroll.
The Commissioner of Police seems impotent to act against these guys for reasons he alone knows, but I guess the Americans know better.
These guys are known to have their money invested in the housing industry, but the word is that they are now investing in the night club business; they are opening a posh night club on Sherrif Street and might be also funding the elaborate renovations at the other club in Alberttown.
Heaven help us!
