GWI got a busy time and de system ain’t wukking. Is now dem boys understand why so much time and energy was spent outside NIS in Brickdam. De holidays was coming and GWI had to mek preparation.
Is Sunday and Monday that de problem manifest. People deh running to de toilet whole day and some of dem eye sink in. Is dehydration and not starvation because some of dem see de food and rather than think about eating healthy dem eat fuh glutton.
Dem poor stomach could not cope wid de mixture so dem tail feeling de heat. And those who eat pepper feeling double heat.
To mek matters wuss, public facilities scarce suh a few people use what was available. One man use Duke Lodge fence.
Dem boys seh that dem ain’t see de Police Commissioner since Christmas Eve and dem want to know how much trouble he cause GWI. Under normal conditions he does put de system under pressure.
GPL had problem too. All de talk about surplus power didn’t mean nutten. Some people put up fairy lights and de only time de lights wuk was in de day when dem had no value.
De only people who feel really good was dem woman who get Christmas baby. Dem get gifts from Cheekies and Ansa McAl. Now all dem woman decide that dem done mek babies during de rest of de year because dem don’t get nutten. People don’t notice dem.
Nuff husbands now got problems. Is a lot of denial when de night come and next morning de woman going to de calendar to mark off de date. Dem checking to mek sure that Christmas Day don’t pass dem and if dem miss, dem gun ketch de New Year crowd. Talk half. Lef half.
