Dear Editor,
As the carnage of road fatalities continues in Guyana, no one seems to be held accountable for the lives lost.
Just recently a minibus travelling to Lethem crashed, killing three or more passengers, driven by an unlicensed driver.
Unfortunately he lost his life too. However, the owner of the minibus is equably culpable and should be charged for manslaughter before the courts. Until people are held accountable for these earth bound “jets”, we will continue to see front pages of people dying. The passengers should also take the responsibility of demanding the comfort of travelling safe as they are paying.
