Dem boys plan fuh start minding fowl from early next year. And dem talking bout yard fowl because dem can’t afford de layers. Feed expensive and getting more expensive every day.
Yard fowl does grow slow suh that is why dem boys starting early. And de reason is egg. Whole year egg selling cheap then as soon as Christmas come egg become Mister Egg. According to dem boys, is not that egg short or that dem hen stop laying. Is just that everybody mekking a raise fuh Christmas.
Well is not only egg expensive. Pork price gone up and is not that de pig get more scarce or that dem using perfume. Is just that people does get extra money at this time of de year and dem businessmen done know that since dem can’t get six per cent dem better tek dem own increase.
But dem have other people who think that dem more than anybody else got to mek money suh dem mixing milk powder wid flour.
But is not everything cockish. Dem have honest people and all of dem wukking wid City Hall. Dem got to be honest because de City Council ain’t got lights fuh dem to see how dem can hustle.
Some of dem did get an extra something from all dem butchers and a few get dem Christmas envelope from dem residents who got a heart and who recognize that if wasn’t fuh de garbage men de place woulda been a sight.
But dem boys know that even then all who collect envelope had to hide. Imagine some post girls get a small piece from de residents and dem bandits guh fuh rob dem. Who escape de robberies had to tek care because dem colleagues who wukking inside got a special technique fuh open envelope, even id de envelope deh in yuh pocket.
