Xavier wins Guinness Playoffs
Sean De Souza romped to victory in the Buddys’ Pool Hall 10th Anniversary Pool competition and in the process won the top prize of $100,000 and the beautiful Banks Premium Beer trophy last weekend at the Sheriff Street location.
De Souza beat into second place Clarence Allicock who pocketed $50,000 and trophy, Ryan Rambalak took the third prize of $25,000 and trophy while Vijay Sankar who placed fourth, carried home $15,000 and trophy.
The event showcased some of the popular and experienced Pool players and saw produced several keenly contested games.
Each round consisted of players playing the two best in three format with the loser knocked out.
There was also a Guinness Playoff where two players from the competition were randomly selected to clear all the balls on the table in the fastest time.
Emerging as the winner was Anthony Xavier who won a Guinness hamper. Xavier was the winner of the previous Pool Competition of Buddy’s Pool Hall. The next competition is scheduled for February 2010.
