Beat Santos 3-1; knockout stage to commence shortly
Sunburst Camptown recorded their 5th win in as many matches to top group B of the DeSinco Trading Georgetown Football Association organized Under-19 competition.
Playing at the Camptown ground, Campbellville on Sunday last, the home team hit in goals by Alistair Butters (18), Jamal Greaves (41) and Akeem Moore in the 59th minute to nullify Santos’ 23rd minute strike that came off the boot of Lerone Charles.
The defeat for Santos was their first in five matches as they ended the group in the runner-up positing on 12 points to Camptown’s 15.
One more game remains to be completed to bring the round-robin phase of the tournament to a close. That match will see Alpha United and Uprising facing off. The knockout phase of the tournament will commence shortly.
