Executive member of the Guyana Veterans Soccer Club Brian Clarke, who is also an accredited United States Soccer Federation Referee, recently handed over a number of replicas for the winner of the 20th Kashif and Shanghai tournament.
Clarke, in handing over the beautiful trophies which also includes one for the Most Valuable Player and Best Goalkeeper said he was very happy to contribute to the development of the game in Guyana through the Kashif and Shanghai tournament.
“Over the years I have kept a close eye on this tournament and am really impressed with the heights it has reached today. It brings together the largest gathering of teams and the level of professionalism that you see during this tournament is tremendous.”
Clarke said he would continue to lend support to football in Guyana while noting that he will continue to expend energies to develop dozens of young players in the Lodge area.
