– Guyana’s first Female World Champion Gwendolyn ‘The Stealth Bomber’ O’Neil arrived over the weekend in keeping with her ring date next Sunday against the spoiler Sharon Ward.
The Former WIBA, WIBC and Guyana champion will headline the final boxing card in Guyana for 2009 dubbed ‘Season’s Beatings’ and arrived two days ahead of opponent Sharon Ward who was training in Russia and will be arriving here tomorrow. O’Neil is very hyped for this fight which she says is to avenge the loss her Gym mate and friend Debbie Tyson, suffered at the hands of the Lindener when the two met at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

The promoters have confirmed the signing of Anthony Agustine who will match gloves with the fearsome Mitchell Rogers who had signed his contract for the fight earlier.
Trinidadian based ‘Pure Gold’ Iwan Azore will arrive in Guyana on Christmas Day to face the ever dangerous Laurex Benn in a Junior Middleweight match-up.
Debutant and Antigua based Clive Atwell will also be arriving on Christmas Eve Day to face fellow former amateur standout Charlton Skeete. The rest of the undercard will be finalised by today according to Promoter Carwyn Holland.‘Season’s Beatings’ will also serve as an appreciation card for all sponsors and persons who have contributed to H.E. Promotions in 2009. The event will also be televised internationally and will have several foreign media in attendance.
