Players called to trials for Punte Del Este Sevens Tournament

The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has called to trials a 15-man squad in preparation for the Punte Del Este International Seven-a-Side Tournament scheduled to take place in Uruguay on January 3-4, 2010.
According to a release from the Union, the first trial game will take place today, at the National Park, starting from 15:00 hrs, while regular training continues next week Monday – Friday.
Sessions are being conducted by Coach Laurence Adonis, who is being assisted by Clinton Clarke.
The following are the players short-listed:
Claudius Butts (Captain)-Winger / Centre Dane Parks-Winger Dwayne Schroeder-Prop / Forward
Elwin Chase Jason Tyrell- Forward
Joseph Rahaman
Kevin McKenzie- Prop / Centre / Wing
Leon Greaves
Peabo Hamilton- Fly half / Centre
Robin Cordis
Ryan Gonsalves- Scrum half / Fly half
Ryan Hinckson Theodore Henry- Prop / Centre
Troy Bascom- Winger
Walter George – Prop
Meanwhile, most of the players are also preparing to represent Guyana at the upcoming IRB World Sevens Series which will be held from February 14-15 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
