The prolific race walker has now extended his unbeaten streak to 105 races and has signaled an intention to ‘bat on.’
The race started at the Prairie International Hotel, Coverden EBD and culminated at the Soesdyke Methodist Church. Mitchell added the Public Service Minister, Dr. Jennifer Westford, trophy to his bulging collection.
Junior race walker, Ivelaw Charles also justified his award when he walked in second in the senior category, carting off the Robert Selman trophy. Another awardee, Donna Ramkissoon finished third. The race walkers are now preparing for the final event of the year, the ‘Clash of Champions’ race walk scheduled for December 20.
