National Men’s Coach Laurie Adonis is bemoaning the fact that members of the squad are still struggling for time off from work to attend practice sessions.
Adonis was speaking with Kaieteur Sport last Saturday at the National Park when he reported that even though there is still a healthy turnout at the sessions, he is being hampered by the inability to implement certain strategies and game simulations as they prepare to participate in the annual Punta Del Este tournament in Uruguay next January as a warm-up for the IRB World Sevens Series scheduled for the following month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Meanwhile, Guyana is expected to field a strong team for the tournament in Uruguay with Claudius Butts anticipated to return after a knee injury that forced him out of the North American & Caribbean Rugby Association Tournament which was held in Mexico.
