Is Christmas and everybody ain’t happy. But some people enjoying Christmas every day. Dem boys seh that nuff people waiting pun de back pay that Bharrat promise dem. De police is de ones who waiting de most because dem wuk hard whole year hiding from criminals.
But is de pensioner that mek some people vex. De man getting a pension that bigger than de back pay that a whole Ministry gun get.
It in de millions and a whole Ministry pay packet fuh de back pay barely reach one million dollars.
Guysuco ain’t got money but it paying de boss man more than it paying de workers. That is leadership. Dem boys seh that de aim is to mek de workers wuk hard to reach de top suh that dem too can get money.
But de thing shameful. De US embassy don’t pay its staff that kind of money, not even de Ambassador and de British High Commissioner don’t get that kind of money.
Over de weekend all dem donor agency meet to discuss de situation and dem seh that dem wouldn’t be lending Guyana any more money because Guyana can pay big salary more than de very people who negotiating de loans for Guyana.
Dem boys seh that it got to be that Guyana borrowing money to pay some people salary.
No wonder de budget does buss before de year gone half way. That is wha dem boys seh.
Well all dem workers gun strike because dem want de same pay as de pensioner. And dem boys seh that dem right.
Talk half. Lef half.
