West Berbice carpenter killed by speeding car

A father of nine died after being struck down by a motor car on the West Berbice Highway late yesterday afternoon.

Dead is Brentnol Hutson, 49, a carpenter of El Dorado Village, West Coast Berbice.

Hutson was reportedly crossing the public road at El Dorado when he was hit by a motor car which was travelling in the direction of Georgetown.

The accident occurred around 5.30 PM.

He was picked up from the roadway in an unconscious condition and rushed to the Mahaicony Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

West Berbice Police are investigating.
