Dear Editor,
Over the years Guyana seems to have no solution to the many accidents on our roadways, by driving under the influence of alcohol.
Despite heavy penalties have been imposed for those offences, the road carnage continues. Drivers should obey the following: “Who hath woe? Who hath sorrow? Who hath wounds? They that tarry long at the wine.” Proverbs 23:29-30.
This could be one of the solutions or should we entreat Bacchus, the God of wine to intervene?
Or finally close all our breweries and distillers, to save lives on our roadways?
