A taxi that was hijacked on Tuesday morning by two gunmen was early yesterday morning recovered in 21st Street, Diamond.
This newspaper was told that the driver of the car, Charles Rambarack, was stopped by two gunmen at the corner of Pike and Alexander Streets, Kitty.
The gunmen reportedly relieved Rambarack of his valuables and ordered him out of his car. The matter was immediately reported.
Just around 07:00 hours yesterday, police in the Diamond area received a call about a car being abandoned in the area. Upon arrival at the scene the police realized that it was Rambarack’s car.
The car was taken to the Kitty Police station as investigations continue.
