Police in Linden are still investigating a brazen daylight robbery, which occurred at the Wismar Post Office on Monday.
According to reports, no one has been held in connection with the robbery, contrary to some reports that the perpetrators had all been caught.
According to reports two armed bandits held the Post Mistress and her staff at gunpoint shortly after 14:00 hrs, while demanding the keys to the vault with cash.
The frightened staff acquiesced and the men made off with a substantial amount of cash, which was purportedly to pay old age pensioners.
The workers were made to lie on the floor throughout the ordeal; and the bandits made good their escape after taking the cash.
There are reports that workers had been warned about a planned robbery, and had made reports to the police.
Yesterday, the police had detained the entire post office staff for detailed questioning.
