Action in the Mayor Hamilton Green birthday 7-a-side football tournament is set to continue on Wednesday and Friday of next week, while the final will be contested on Friday December 11 all at the Tucville ground.
The tournament is in its knockout phase as team’s battle for the attractive cash prizes on offer for the top four teams, the winner collecting $300,000.
Wednesday’s fixtures will see Pele Veterans playing their Rasta counterparts at 6:00pm and the All Stars and Santos Veterans at 7:00pm battling in supporting clashes to set the tone for the key match ups.
Crane challenge Uitvlugt in the Mayor’s birthday tourney knockout at 8:00pm, while to follow at half an hour intervals; Alpha tangle with Rich Boys, Conquerors oppose YMCA and Western Tigers take on Kitty Rangers.
Friday December 4 will see the veterans play in the opening two games, while the knockout action pits Uprising against Black Pearl, GDF versus Seawall, Riddim Squad versus Victoria Kings and Pele battle Flamingo.
