Police acting on information, descended on the premises and were greeted by a locked door, with a padlock on the outside.
The police after repeatedly calling for anyone inside to open up, gained entry through a window and found the culprit hiding in a bathroom, wrapped up in a bathroom blind.

He was cornered in a yard a few blocks away by police who had responded promptly.
Prosecutor Corporal Roberto Figueira in opposing bail noted the nature, gravity and prevalence of the crime and stated that a firearm was used.
