Certificates of Appreciation & Dedication awarded

The National Milling Company of Guyana (NAMILCO) has recognised the services of the dedicated Referees and Fruta Conquerors Executive following the conclusion of the Third Annual NAMILCO Football Festival which saw Sunburst Camptown emerging champs.
Managing Director of NAMILCO Bert Sukhai stated that his company was very pleased with the overall efforts, dedication and commitment of the officials over the years towards making the tournament a success.
The fund-raising tournament for Fruta Conquerors attracted sixteen teams and was played on a knock-out format at the Tucville ground, the number one venue for the sport in the city. The club over the years has been hosting numerous activities to enhance the overall standard of the facility. Just recently they have completed their club house.
The referees who were honoured with Certificates of Appreciation are Stanley Lancaster, Abdullah Hamid, Rollin Tappin, Venton Mars, Dion Inniss, Otis James, Steve James, Mark Young, Nicole Joseph, Odessa Caleb, Deon Feassal, Nykasie Liverpool, Trevor Porter, Ivor Blackman, Joel Weeks, Miguel Vieira, Neville Gulliver, Lawrence Drakes, Chris Joseph, Paul Bobb, Leonard Boyce, Albert Duncan, Roy Mc Arthur and Lawrence Griffith.
The executive members of Fruta Conquerors receiving certificates of Dedication are Marlan Cole (President), Ivor Thompson (Vice President), Lavern Fraser-Thomas (Secretary), Candia Shepherd (Treasurer), Wayne St Jules (Assistant/Secretary/Treasurer), Margret Schultz (Committee Member), Doris Leonard (Committee Member) and Lester Peters (Club Captain).
Thompson, speaking on behalf of the club expressed gratitude to NAMILCO their continued commitment towards the well being and further development of the club. (Franklin Wilson)
