The nation’s top race walkers would be in action on Sunday November 29 when the Cavalier’s Sports and Tour Club (CSTC) stages ‘Walk for Life’ a 10K, Junior Race Walk around the Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara area, in commemoration of World Aids Day. The event will attract the nation’s best junior race walkers who will compete for medals and trophies donated by the business community.
In an effort to create the necessary level of awareness pertaining to the deadly AIDS virus, the organizers would be distributing condoms, pamphlets and other educational material about preventative measures of the deadly disease.
Persons interested in participating in the race may contact coordinator of the CS&TC, Olga Harry or David Kirton on telephone # 686-1606 or 628-7765. The action starts at 06:00hrs sharp.
