Imagine a man giving you money to help you count money. That is wha does happen in a bank. De bank got money and it does employ people to count it and it does pay dem from de same money.
But Guyana tek this thing to another level. It go to de world bank to borrow money to learn how to mek people see how it spending money. Every country know about transparency when it come to accounting. It look like Guyana got to learn to do that.
Is de same lack of transparency mek people accusing de government of thiefing. And de poor government can’t defend itself because it ain’t got any way of proving that de money spend wisely.
To this day de government can’t tell de nation how much money it spend in de flood that rock de country four years ago. Dem boys seh that de government still counting.
Well de money from de IDB gun help dem show de nation how de money spend.
Then it got to show how it spending de Lotto Funds. Dem boys want to know how much money deh in de fund because when sports team got to go overseas, de country never got money.
