Tucber Park A took first innings points from Defenders in their final Zone C preliminary match of the 2009 Leslie Amsterdam Memorial Under-17 Cricket Competition in Berbice to finish winners of the Zone and book a place in the quarter-finals.
Guyana Under-17 cricketer Jamally Odle scored 67 while all-rounder Joemal La Fleur made 40 as Tucber Park A scored 203 in their first innings.
Defenders fell for 95 with pacers Trishan Harry and Mark Jackman along with left arm spinner Odle taking 2 wickets each.
Opening batsman Deveshwari Prashad hit 114 (8 fours) to assist Shieldstown to 249-4 declared in their first innings against Woodley Park Young Strikers. Prashad took 3-14 and 2-14 to assist in bowling out the Young Strikers for 35 and 60 respectively.

Defenders 1st innings 95 with Omar Gray
32, Trishan Harry, Mark Jackman and Jamally Odle took 2 wickets each.
At Shieldstown, Shieldstown beat Woodley Park Young Strikers by an innings and 154 runs. Shieldstown 1st innings 249-4 declared with Deveshwari Prashad 114, Richard Anthony 43. Woodley Park Young Strikers 1st innings 35 with Nazim Mohamed 5 for 20, Devesh Prashad 3-14 and 2nd innings 60 with Durnesh Dharmoo 2-5, Deveshwari Prashad 2 for 14, Ridwan Ramjohn 2-18.
At Lochaber in West Canje, Police took first innings points from Mt. Sinai in their drawn match. Police 1st innings 192 with Flynn Reid 71, Elon Rodney 30, Shemroy Mc Kenzie 28, Winston Mingo 27, Alvin Thomby 2-39 and 2nd innings 73-5 with Alvin Thomby 2-12. West Canje 1st innings 122.
