Beterverwagting Triumph United leads points standing

Shawn Daniels netted a double that eventually ensured his team Beterverwagting Triumph United (BVTU) stayed in contention for top honors when the East Coast Football League continued at the Beterverwagting Ground ECD, Thursday evening last.
In the other fixture that day, Victoria FC and Bakewell Buxton Stars played to a nil all draw.
The win has propelled Beterverwagting to the head of the points standing with 9 points from 4 games. They have lost one game.
Mahaica FC is presently occupying the second place slot after playing 4 games and winning 2.
They have lost 1 and drew the other and are just one point behind the leader. Other points standing are; Buxton (7), Golden Grove (6), Victoria (5) and Ann’s Grove (5) and Ogle (0).
Meanwhile, the competition continues with an exciting double header on Sunday 29 next.
Ann’s Grove plays Buxton Stars from 13:30hrs while BVTU opposes Victoria Kings.
Matches continue on Saturday December 9 with Ogle playing Victoria Kings. Other matches are slated for Sun December 6 and 9 when Mahaica plays Buxton Stars on the former date while BVTU tackles Ann’s Grove on the latter.
All matches will be played at the B.V Ground.
