Timehri Panthers, led by a Collis Messiah 2nd half double romped to a comfortable 3-0 win over Mocha Champs when rivalry in the Stag Beer / East Bank Football Association division one league continued on Sunday last at the Grove Playfield.
Messiah was on target in the 49th and 67th minute in a game that the Panthers controlled against the former East Bank powerhouses. Opening the scoring for Timehri was Romel Miles after 5 minutes of play.
In the day’s other match up, Kuru Kuru Lions were tamed by home team Grove Hi Tec 5-0. Leading the home team was Dominic Garnett with a hat-trick which was achieved within a 5 minute span. Garnett rocked the nets in the 59th, 61st and 63rd minute, Orson Francois scored in the 69th, Quincy Tinnie opened the scoring in the 25th minute.
More action is slated for this weekend.
